We are passionate lovers of minerals and fossils and although, we have a large collection at home. We seize the opportunity to visit museums and private collections, as well as to share experiences and knowledge with our friends collectors, geologists, miners, etc...
Would you like to know our story?
Jean-Philippe's passion began when he was 7 years old in the South of France, when he found a strange-shaped stone in the neighbouring vineyard. This stone looked like a tooth. After some researche, he concluded that this was a fossilized Carcharodon megalodon tooth (similar to current sharks but much bigger), this tooth was several millions of years old. With his primary school teacher and his parents' help, he started to study subjects related to Geology (minerals, fossils, dinosaurs, etc...).
Natalia's passion began when she was 10 years old but this time in Argentina. Her uncle Jorge, who was a geologist, told her a story about the movements of the earth's crust, and explained that many, many years ago Earth, like we see it on the globe, was very different. There was only one big continent called Pangea, surrounded by only an ocean. Surprised by this information, she started to read books related to Geology from her school's library, and afterwards at home.
Natalia and Jean-Philippe met during a monthly meeting organized by a Gemology, Mineralogy and Paleontology association in Buenos Aires, and several years later destiny brought them together again.
Here is a summary of 'the waking of our passion', nowadays we share both our collections and our lives... and would really like to share this site with you.
